Early College

Q: Why is NICC's early college the right choice

for high school students?

A: Tuition is waived for high school students!

Currently enrolled high school students may apply for special admission for early college courses. The Early College program provides the opportunity for students currently enrolled in high school to enroll in dual-credit (i.e., students can earn college credit AND meet high school graduation requirements) or college credit courses. NICC follows the Dual-Credit Standards signed by Nebraska TCUs and Community Colleges.

To learn more about the process to apply for dual-credit opportunities through NICC, check out our admissions process map for dual-credit students and guidance counselors.

Reverse Transfer

Even if NICC is not your final destination, if you earn up to 15 credits with us you may be eligible for reverse transfer to earn your Associates degree with NICC.

Reverse Transfer is a unique process for awarding associate degrees to students who have transferred in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree before completing the requirements for an associate degree at NICC. Through our reverse transfer program, students can combine credits they earned at two and four-year institutions to be awarded an associate degree at NICC while also working toward a bachelor’s degree.
